Georgian (1770s -1790s)

Georgian fashion (technically 1714-1830 but for my makes I'm narrowing it to 1770s to 1790s) featured elaborate, opulent styles with men in ornate, knee-length coats and breeches, and women in a variety of changing bodice and dress styles with skirts supported by petticoats, bum rolls, or panniers, lavishly decorated bodices, and intricate lace, reflecting the grandeur and sophistication of the era.

The years 1824-1825 blended Regency elegance with emerging Romantic trends.  Waistlines began to drop, hems widened and were heavily decorated, and puffed sleeves began their journey toward the enormity characterized by the next era.  Men favored tailored coats, waistcoats, and cravats. This era combined timeless grace with evolving fashion.
